When using a bait like Terad3 Blox, you do need to be sure that there are no other food sources around that may compete with the bait. This includes outdoor pet food being left out, bird feeders, etc. The bait should be applied in tamper-resistant bait stations, and you should keep in mind that it will take time for the rats to locate and go to the bait, as they can be wary of anything new in their environment.
