Suzy from Jacksonville, Fl writes

They are multiplying!! It's been a month!

The German roaches we have are multiplying horribly!! Thing is, they eat the advion! And eat it so fast we apply it nightly!! We use plastic bottle caps. Put a generous amount on each cap and set about 40 of them out each night!! Not weekly or every 2 weeks...nightly!! Along with huge strips of poison in places. Everything is clean as can be in the morning. We know where they are nesting and are sure to put many bottle caps around this area along with long strips of poison. Its been a month. I'm NOT seeing many dead or sick ones. But now they are piling up in ugly piles on my ceiling (above the wall their nest is) like building new little nests!!! We've gone through 12 tubes of advian!! Am I just feeding them to multiply??? I wish I could afford to move...it's THAT bad!! Help!!

Answer:

German Roaches are difficult to get rid of in a couple of months even if they have been there for awhile or not. If they have been consuming the Advion for a month that is great especially with you seeing dead ones. You are feeding them to kill each other through sharing not feeding them to reproduce. They do this on their own. You can incorporate an insect growth regulator such as Gentrol to disrupt the reproductive cycle and an insecticide that will offer a residual control such as Temprid FX. Please alternate your bait every 90 days. The next one that I would suggest you use for the next 90 days (replacing every 2wks) is Maxfore FC Magnum. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Roaches for a successful eradication program.
