    Q
Is it necessary to use an IGR formula in addition to the Transport Mikron Insecticide?
    A

Using an IGR like Gentrol is pertinent in making sure you halt the infestation. You can mix the Gentrol and Transport together in the same gallon of water and spray them at the same time.

    Q
Can Transport Mikron Insecticide be sprayed after Phantom for bed bug control?
I sprayed Phantom and was wondering after two weeks could I then use Transport Mikron possibly mixed with an IGR?
    A

Phantom is only labeled to be applied once every 4 weeks. You should wait to retreat the same area with Transport Mikron. You can apply Gentrol IGR. Please take a few moments to review our article on How to Get Rid of Bedbugs for a successful eradication program.

    A

Yes, you can apply an IGR that is labeled for roaches to tank mix with Transport Mikron. We do offer Archer, NyGuard IGR and Tekko Pro that are labeled for outdoor and indoor use as directed for roaches.

    Q
Transport Mikron + Gentrol IGR aganist German Roach infestations?
I am doing a restaurant that has had a bad German Roach infestation and have achieved some pretty good results with baits but not fully knocking them out fully. I am curious as to how well Transport Mikron and Gentrol IGR would work?
    A
Transport Mikron is not labeled for German Roaches specifically. We would recommend using Suspend SC or Demon WP with the Gentrol IGR. For Roach Control you want to use a liquid insecticide, IGR along with baits for the most effective results.

    Q
Is this product good on cockroaches or would you recommend gentrol
    A
You would actually need both products. Transport and Gentrol are two very different concentrates in how they work. Transport Mikron is a liquid insecticide that you would dilute with water and spray for residual control over the roaches and other insects. The Gentrol IGR has no killing properties in its ingredients as it is purely a birth control for the insects. Using an IGR like Gentrol is pertinent in making sure you halt the infestation. You can mix the Gentrol and Transport together in the same gallon of water and spray them at the same time. Q
What is the best application for springtails?
Specifically around the perimeter of slab, concrete block home in Florida. Someone wrote that they had success with Transport MiKron and IGR (Martin's). All help greatly appreciated! And yes I already read your link on eliminating springtails
    A
Springtails indicate that there is a moisture issue because they breed in walls or under slabs where a moisture issue may exist.  Typically, pesticides alone will not take care of a springtail problem.  It is required to fix whatever moisture issue is causing the problem.  While Transport Mikron will help to kill the springtails that contact a treated surface until the moisture issue is addressed they could always be an issue.  Martin's IGR is not actually labeled for springtails so we cannot recommend it for them.  There is no known IGR labeled for springtails.

    Q
Is Transport safe to use with Gentrol?
Is this product safe to use with Gentrol in the same mix or will it weaken the power of the Transport?
    A
The Gentrol is designed to be mixed with Transport, as well as all other insecticides without taking away from the effectiveness. You can always spray them separate if needed but mixing the two together will create a one step combo that will do wonders on an insect population.

    Q
I am using Transport Mikron to treat for bed bugs. How many days before I can reapply?
I cant seem to find that on the label anywhere.
    A

Transport Mikron Insecticide can provide up to a 90-day residual inside and would only be applied that often. If you are treating for bedbugs, Transport Mikron (even with Gentrol) should not be the sole that you use for treatment. Please review our bedbug treatment guide and videos for additional treatment information by clicking the link here.  In general treatments for bed bugs are done every 2 weeks with some products until you can go 30 days without being bitten or seeing evidence.

  • Asked by Norm from Palos Park

    Q
Have a unit with fleas and bedbugs. I have transport how to use lost my label.
    A

Transport Mikron Insecticide is applied at the rate of 1.25 fl oz per gallon of water for fleas and bed bugs however is only labeled for crack and crevice applications per the product label. This product cannot be broadcasted over carpeted areas, rugs, floors etc which would be required for effective flea treatments.

We would recommend using the Indoor Flea Kit that contains PT Alpine Flea and Bed Bug Insectiide and Cimexa Dust if treating for active fleas indoors.

A liquid insecticide concentrate if preferred for broadcast applications indoors for fleas would be Onslaught Insecticide.however an insect growth regulaor such as NyGuard IGR would need to be added to the tank mix to help stop the growth cycle of immature flea eggs once they hatch.

For Bed Bugs, Transport Mikron Insecticide should be applied to bed frames, box springs, mattresses, inside empty luggage, dressers and clothes closets and carpet edges, high and low wall moldings and wallpaper edges, wall hangings, mirrors, pictures, electrical switch plates, furniture, door frames, bookcases, and window frames. This product alone is not going to eliminate active bed bugs and should be used in combination with a contact kill aerosol such as Bedlam Plus and Cimexa Dust to treat all the necesary cracks and crevices where bed bugs hide.

Our Bed Bug Control Kits help to provide the best product recommendations for an effective bed bug treatment program. Each kit is based on the number of bedrooms in the home.

Please view our Bed Bug Treatment Guide and Flea Treatment Guide for step by step instructions for each treatment.
