Powerful Trap
By Reggie on 09/18/2013
These are powerful traps! Put them out the first night using berries as recommended by our pest guy...Well, not a good move. They snatched them right out of the trap. You need to use something sticky like p-nut butter with some bacon so they have to work to remove it then setting off the trap.

1,2,3 strikes
By Anonymous on 08/03/2013
When they work, they are great. Had a problem with the critters getting the goods and getting away. Manually set the traps off a few times to break them in, plus shoved the bait down into the cup so they would have to crawl in to get to it. Successful with most of the traps.

The best rat traps available today... But...
By Rat on 08/26/2011
Where I live, pack rats are a huge and constant problem. You have to deal with them, or they will overrun your home. I have tried the old style traps, the electronic type, but the T-Rex traps are the best. Easy to set, easy to release the victim. BUT... I wish critical parts were made of metal. The plastic just plain wears out after a certain amount of time/uses. That is why I buy a dozen at a time. Other than that, an excellent trap.

Trapper T rex
By Dr on 11/17/2010
I haven't caught anything nor has my bait been stolen. I was using wooden traps and bait stolen every night. I can't be sure I have rats or that was what was taking the bait on the wood traps. I have these type traps (Smaller scale) for mice as well and have found them excellent. I feel this is a very good product if you need to capture or kill rats or large pests. BTW: The ease of being able to remove the bait compartment means you can leave the dirty trap outside and just bring those compartments inside to rebait. Excellent idea!

price 40% higher than my last 2 orders
By Long on 12/24/2014
As of dec 24 the 12 pack was $79 on domyownpestcontrol and the past 2 orders in the past 2 years i got for $55, forced to buy elsewhere due to 12 pack pricing being out of line compared to other online pest control retailers. Great Traps, i rated this the same rating as the average rating so not to influence the rating of the item but just to get my voice out there. $55 x 1.42 is $78. The other seller i purchased it from had free shipping as well. so?

Trapping the Critters
By Walter on 12/01/2012
Here in Florida we have an abundance of "Roof Rats or Palm Rats". They are small, and nocturnal. In the winter they move into my attic. I set out a line of Trapper T-Rex traps and got three the first night and two more the second night. The traps are simple to set and easy to empty. I am very happy with your product, the rats are not.

Humane, lethal chipmunk dispatcher
By Dirtdigginmama on 06/14/2018
At my wits end with chipmunks ruining my garden and flower beds, but didn't want to poison or drown them (so nasty.) So I decide to try this RAT trap. Figured it was big and tough enough to do the job. It's the best! Easy to bait, dump the carcass, clean and reset. No problems. Seem to be catching them early in the morning. Just pay attention to where they run, and set it in their pathway. Squeeze til it stops to fully set it. Worth every $$!!

Great Rat Trap
By Steve on 02/05/2021
Works great. I have trapped 7 rats so far. Two were caught by the legs but could not get away. Some seem to reach for the bait. If the trap was slightly larger so their head would have to be within the jaw area when tripped it would probably kill 100% of the time. I will still buy more thought. They work very well and crazy easy to set.
Caught one
By Dawn on 08/15/2020
Caught 1 rat so far. It was still alive in the trap and dropped 2 traps to my chain link fence. He was on 1 side and one trap wouldn't fit under my fence. By morning my traps were empty and the rat was gone. Hope he was either dinner for a coyote or crawled away to die. So far no other rats seen, holes found, or anything caught. So I'm happy the rat is gone.
Does the job well
By D.p. on 11/01/2019
Used with peanut butter & bird seed to trap chipmunks that were digging holes along my foundation & chewing away an air conditioner condenser pad. Trapped about 8 or 9 however did trap one alive by it's feet (released alive) & caught 2 birds (both released alive), one of which lost it's lower leg. Be careful if you use bird seed & where you place the trap since this increases the likelihood to trap birds. Finally, either a small chipmunk or mouse is eating the seed & peanut butter but not setting off the trap. Does the job well with some unintended consequences.
easy to set!

Happy customer
By Jessica on 09/01/2018
I set it up and placed a small amount of peanut butter in the bait circle well. Do not overload the bait circle. It the bait is too big they can eat some and move on. Make them work at it and the trap is in the right position. I caught a large rat on day three that moved into my laundry room. It easy to reset and not worry about getting fingers in the way.
Highley efective but some tedious elements
By Russell on 07/13/2016
The trap is effective. It does not have enough force to break the bones of a cat. However a cat will not be able to remove its paw from the trap. Also the trap is usually not immediately fatal to the rodents, this results in the traps being dragged some distance from there initial locations. Recommend tying the trap to something, to prevent them from being lost.
