Product Overview

Tribune is a quick-acting professional herbicide that starts to desiccate plant tissue immediately upon contact. This non-selective herbicide causes plant photosynthesis to stop within minutes in most conditions. It is effective on a wide variety of emergent, submerged, and floating aquatic weeds including watermeal, duckweed, water milfoil, curly-leaf pondweed, and many other nuisance aquatic weeds.  It contains diquat as its active ingredient, which is easily absorbed by targeted weeds for a fast kill.  It is safe for surrounding soil and wildlife and can be applied in and around docks, ponds, swimming areas, lakes, drainage areas, and fountains.

Application Spot Treatment: Apply Tribune at 2 quarts per 100 gallons spray carrier (0.5% solution) with an approved aquatic wetting agent at 0.25-1.0% v/v (1 quart to 1 gallon per 100 gallons water). For cattail control, Tribune should be applied prior to flowering at the maximum application rate (8 quarts of Tribune/100 gallons spray carrier) plus the wetting agent. Repeat treatments may be necessary for complete control. Spray to completely wet target weeds but not to runoff. Densely packed weeds or mats may require additional applications due to incomplete spray coverage. Re-treat as needed. For best results, re-treat weed escapes within 2 weeks of the initial treatment.
Broadcast Treatment: Apply Tribune at the rate of 0.5-2.0 gallons per surface acre in sufficient carrier along with 16-32 oz./A of an approved wetting agent. Re-treat as necessary for densely populated weed areas. Good coverage is necessary for control of the target weeds. For duckweed control, apply Tribune at 1-2 gallons/A. *See Label For Full Details.
