Using Diquat to eradicate duckweed

Do I have to remove my lotus and lily plants or is it enough to just be careful not to get it on them?

Answer:

Diquat Water Weed and Landscape Herbicide will kill both duckweed and lily plants. You would need to spot treat the duckweed carefully, avoiding the lotus and lily plants. Removing them, if you can, would be the best option to avoid injury.
