Dave from Middletown, Ct writes

What are the chances of secondary poisoning to wildlife or domestic animals that eat a rodent that has died from consuming Kaput Mouse Blocks Rodenticide?

We live in a heavily wooded area with owls and other predators that consume mice and voles and don't want to unintentionally poison them.

Answer:

The active ingredient warfarin that is in Kaput Mouse Blocks Rodenticide has low environmental and secondary toxicity which makes it less toxic to non-target animals. There is a Vitamin K1 antidote available with your local Vet if needed.  Please view the full product label for more information.
