Kenny from Vero Beach, Fl writes

What can I use along with my insecticides to treat for roaches.

those two treatments for maintenance. I also use the Suspend at some locations inside. I have an old Florida home built on a stem wall with a crawl space. My only real problem is we periodically get Palmetto bugs (I know its probably not the right bug name but I am a Floridian and have always called those roaches that!) inside. I wouldn't even call it an infestation or a bad problem...it's Florida after all. But when I pull open the cover to the crawl space they scatter. Is there a way to eliminate them from underneath my home as well which would limit the access inside? I'd rather not crawl around inside the crawl space just to treat!!

Answer:

I would continue to treat with the perimeter sprays that your using.  I would also use a roach bait gel in the area of activity in the crawl space.  If you didn’t want to go into the crawl space treating with spray you can bait around the area close to the door.  I would use Advion roach gel and apply in small pea size dabs around the door.  This along with doing the treatments around the perimeter of the house, should help eliminate the population.  You may need to incorporate an IGR to get complete control of the population depending on the type of roach your dealing with.
