What happens to the lawn of the annual amount is exceeded with Barricade 4FL Pre-Emergent Herbicide?

For instance, if one uses 2-4 times the annual recommendation on a bluegrass and/or rye grass lawn. Will Barricade kill the lawn?

Answer:

We always recommend using products exactly as directed on the product label for several reasons. First, a product label has been reviewed and approved by the EPA and, therefore, provides the legally allowed uses for a product such as an insecticide or herbicide: The Label is the Law. Second, lots of time and money goes into developing and testing products, which means the label rates are what have been proven scientifically to be effective for treating the pests/weeds/diseases on that label. Using more is not necessarily going to be better. In fact, using too much Barricade 4FL Pre-Emergent Herbicide can cause undesired effects on your turfgrass and on the environment, and simply wasting your time and money.
