We would recommend a product like Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait for a bait granule or Talstar P for a liquid application. You could try a mound drench with Talstar P which you would dilute with water and use to soak each mound with 2-5 gallons of water to ensure complete colony penetration of the product. It is best to bait when they are foraging for food in the spring and summer (or when temperatures are above 60 degrees). Please take a few moments to review our article/videos on How to Get Rid of Fire Ants for a successful eradication program.
