What is the difference between Riptide and ExciteR? It looks like they both have different active ingredients.

Answer:

Riptide and ExciteR have the same active ingredients (although in different amounts) and are similar in nature but have different formulations.  Riptide 5.0% Pyrethrin ULV is specifically formulated for use in foggers and misting systems. It is recommended that ExciteR be mixed with an insecticide because it is a synergist. It is used to make a product work faster to kill insects. It can be used as a stand alone product for a quick knockdown as well.  Both of these products will only kill insects while they are wet, so once the product has dried, there is no residual left behind.
