What is the dilution rate for Martins Permethrin 10% to treat for dogwood borers?

Answer:

Martins Permethrin 10% does not include tree borers as a target insect on the product label, or application to trees in general, therefore we cannot advise on rates for this treatment. Permethrin SFR 36.8 is labeled for borers and bark beetles on dogwood trees. Per the product label, this is applied at 32 to 64 fl oz per 100 gallons of water (0.32 to 0.64 per gallon / 3.2 to 6.4 fl oz per 10 gallons of water). Apply to the lower branches and trunks prior to adult emergence. T horough coverage of bark is required for control. Adult emergence varies according to pest species, host tree, environmental conditions and geographic location. Please consult with your local County Cooperative Extension Office for the best timing in your area
