What is the mix rate for applying Southern AG Liquid Copper Fungicide to treat mango trees with anthracnose disease? I will be using a hose end sprayer.

Answer:

The settings on your hand pump sprayer will vary depending on the brand of sprayer you have. Southern AG Liquid Copper Fungicide should be applied at 4 tsp in 1 gallon of water and apply 3 gallons of mixed solution to a small tree or bush, 6 gallons of mined solution to a medium size tree, or 9 gallons of mixed solution to a large tree. These volumes of mixed solution may be hard to determine with a hose end sprayer therefore, we reocmmend using a 1-2 gallon hand pump sprayer like the Chapin Pro Series 2 Gallon Sprayer (26021XP) for easy mixing and to ensure adequate coverage is achieved. You should thoroughly spray tree to point of runoff, including upper and lower surfaces of foliage. Do not overspray. Do not mix more spray solution than needed.
