James from Myrtle Beach writes

What is the mix rate for Bifen XTS to treat mole crickets?

Answer:

Bifen XTS is applied at 0.07-0.15 fl. ozs in 2 gallons of water per 1000 square feet for mole crickets. Water treated areas with 0.25 to 0.5 inches of water immediately following application taking special care to prevent run-off or puddling. Per the product label, use the lower rate (.07 fl oz) in the early Spring to control overwintered Mole Crickets and use the higher rate (0.15 fl oz) in late-Summer or early Fall to control adult Mole Crickets. To increase control of later Summer or Fall Adult Mole Crickets, it is recommended to add a non-ionic surfactant or a silicone based surfactant (0.25% v/v) as a tank-mix with Bifen XTS.
