With MSM turf herbicide you will need to know your spray rate, or how much water you are applying to each 1,000 sq.ft. or lawn Mark off an area of 1,000 sq.ft. and spray water over this area to determine your spray rate. Once you know your spray rate, you will apply 0.02 to 0.06 grams per 1,000 sq.ft. So the rate for your 4-gallon sprayer is 0.8 to 0.24 oz per 4 gallons of water covering roughly 4,000 sq feet.
