Robert from Westminster, Co writes

What is the mixing ratio of Bonide Systemic Insect Control to water for a drench application?

I have a linden tree with aphids... The tree specialist said to pour into the soil, no spray..... I live in Colorado, and was told such ground application is approved for here.

Answer:

Bonide Systemic Insect Control is only to be sprayed on the plant and is not labeled for a drench treatment. Instead, you can use Dominion 2L Termiticide Concentrate, it is labeled to be used in drench applications around ornamental trees for aphid control. You will use 0.1 to 0.4 oz per inch of trunk diameter (at breast height), and pour in your solution with enough water. The label recommends to use no less than 10 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft.
