Is it safe to put bait (on a slip of paper) on the counter behind our toaster in the kitchen -- which is next to the stove, silverware drawer, microwave, etc.? The ants are walking into the bait and then immediately all over the stove and nearby counters/food prep areas...
We would not recommend placing Advion Ant Bait Gel on any porous surfaces like paper as it will absorb the moisture of the bait and cause it to dry out faster. You can place the bait in a Bait Plate Station instead. The small amount the ants pick up after eating/contacting would not contaminate other surfaces.
