What setting on a hose-end sprayer do I use to apply Resolute 4FL Herbicide?

I know you don't recommend a hose end sprayer, but if I use one, I need instructions on what setting to set a hose end sprayer for this product please. I'm spraying a residential yard.

Answer:

Depending on the type of turfgrass you are treating and the desired length of control, you will use 0.23 - 1.1 oz of Resolute 4FL Herbicide per 1,000 square feet, per the product label. When using herbicides, it is most important to use the correct amount of product for the area you are treating and to think of the water as a carrier, rather than aiming for a particular rate per gallon of water. You will need first to calculate how much product you need for the type of grass, size area, and desired length of weed control. Then you can calibrate your hose-end sprayer using just water to determine how many gallons of water you need to treat the entire area. Keep in mind that you will need to activate the product with 0.5 in of rainfall or irrigation within 14 days of application.
