What time of year should we place Intice Gelanimo Ant Bait Stations outdoors in the Midwest?

I'm wondering when exactly to place the bait stations outdoors. I haven't seen any ants yet and it's mid March. I don't want to wait until I see them in my house, but I don't want to put them out too earlier either.

Answer:

The Intice Gelanimo Ant Bait Stations are best used either indoors or in a protected area outdoors so they are not exposed to non-target animals and rainfall. Baits are going to be most effective when you already know ants are present so that the bait does not go bad before it has a change to work. For outdoor prevention of ants once temperatures are consistenly around 60 degrees or more, we suggest a residual insecticide concentrate such as Temprid FX or Alpine WSG.
