What's the best way to apply Suspend SC for ground bees?

Answer:

Suspend SC is not labeled for ground bees. A better option is Tempo SC Ultra as it is more aggressive on the stinging insects. You will mix Tempo SC Ultra in a one-gallon hand pump sprayer and apply the one gallon of mixed solution over the area. (1 gallon per 1,000 sq ft). Concentrate on 2-3 square foot sections where you see most of the activity or believe where the nest is. If you are able to see the openings/holes in the ground where the nest is – adjust the nozzle of your sprayer to a pin stream and spray your insecticide mixture directly into the interior of the nest. The combination of spraying around and inside the nest will kill adult wasps and leave behind a residual to kill any hatching wasps. Retreat the nest with the insecticide every 14 days until all immature wasps have been killed.  The best time to treat is late afternoon/early evening when they are less active. Be armed with a can of pyrethrin aerosol, such as PT Wasp Freeze II Aerosol, to spray any wasps that emerge from the nest.
