As with most herbicides, the exact volume of water is not very important, you just need to be sure you are getting the correct amount of product in a specific area. Specticle FLO may be applied at different rates depending on the turf you are spraying on and the weeds you are trying to control. If you are using the highest rate of 10oz per acre, it breaks down to roughly 0.23 oz of Specticle per 1000 sq/ft in no less than 1-2 gallons of water for full and even application. The thing you have to keep in mind is that the water is the carrier with herbicides, not the diluter. So whether you mix the .23oz of Specticle in 1 gallon and spread it over 1000 sq/ft, or in 5 gallons over a 1000 sq/ft, both are correct. For maximum weed control with broadcast applications, add non-ionic surfactant.
