Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer is safe for St. Augustine and Centipede lawns in GA if applied as directed on the product label for listed weeds. It is not specifically labeled for chamberbitter. This is a very stubborn weed. Pre emergent applications with a product like Isoxaben 75 WG have proven to be the most effective way to control this weed. Research from several extension pages do suggest the use of Atrazine for this weed, but we are not able to guarantee its effectiveness. Also, keep in mind given how persistent and pesky chamberbitter is, there is no one and done solution to take care of the weed so repeat application may have to take place in order to fully kill the invaders. Please contact your local cooperative extension office for additional products and recommendations for this application.
