When is the best time to apply Pendulum 2G on bermudagrass in Northern Alabama to prevent Poa Annua?

Answer:

Pendulum 2G Granular Herbicide would be a great pre emergent to help stop poa annua from germinating. Applications of a pre emergent in spring and fall are recommended and will help stop poa annua from growing in Spring/Summer.    In spring, pre emergents should be applied when soil temperatures are around or just under 55 degrees (February/March). Fall applications should be applied when soil temps drop below 70 degrees but before the first frost of the season(Septemeber or November).   For exact timing recommendations in your area, we would suggest contacting the Master Gardener with the County Cooperative Extension office as they will be able to give you an exact time frame for applying this product in your area.
