John from Salem Sc writes

When is the earliest I can reseed my lawn with TifBlair Centipede Grass Seed in South Carolina close to Clemson?

Answer:

Generally, the best time to plant Centipede Grass is in the early summer (May or June) when soil temperatures are at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit for best results. We always suggest for our customer to contact the County Extension Office for their exact timing recommendations on seeding, applying pre emergents, fertilizing, etc as this can vary depending on weather patterns for this year.   Contact the Clemson University County Extension Office HERE
