Why do you recommend that Liquid Fence not be sprayed directly on tomato plants?

Is it because of a potentially harmful ingredient, or that the product odor may "bleed" into the taste of the fruit?

Answer:

The manufacturer's product label does not indicate it can be used on edible plants so we do not recommend using Liquid Fence Deer Rabbit Repellent Concentrate on edible plants. You would need to contact the manufacturer directly to inquire why they don't label the product for use on edible plants.
