Why the conflicting directions?

If I'm supposed to apply directly to my dog why does the directions say... A. Do not allow adults, children, or pets to enter treated areas until spray has dried.. B. Do not apply this product that will contact adults, children, or pets either directly or through drift?? What's up!??

Answer:

The mix rate of Martins Flee, Tick, and Mange Dip varies by application site and treatment method. The dilution for an application to an animal directly is lower than that for use in the pet premises on the label. Therefore both statements are true and valid and not contradictory. One rate is safe to apply directly to an animal, the other rate that is higher is not, and pets and people should be kept out of the areas it is used for flea control (such as spraying in a kennel) until the surfaces have dried completely.
