While the product label for Hi-Yield 2,4-D selective Weed Killer states that St Augustine grass may be injured by sprays, it is not really labeled to be used for controlling it as it is onlya broadleaf weed killer. Bermuda grass is so closely related to St. Augustine grass that there is nothing that will remove St. Augustine from Bermuda and not hurt the Bermuda as well. In your situation, it is recommended to spot treat the St. Augustine with a non-selective glyphosate product and kill it directly, and then replant Bermuda in those areas.
