While we have had people ask about this before, and some nurseries or master gardeners have suggested it, we can not say whether it will be effective because it is not listed on the 0 - 0 - 25 Liquid Potassium Solution product label specifically.  We recommend contacting your local County Cooperative Extension Office for more information.
