Advion Roach Bait Gel does contain food attractants so we do not suggest using it if you do not have an active roach infestation. However, we highly encourage you to use an IGR (insect growth regulator) such as Gentrol Point Source to prevent roaches from reproducing which will lessen the time it takes to gain complete control. We have a great guide here on How to Treat for Roaches that might be helpful as well.
