Will Avert Dry Flowable Cockroach Bait be harmful to humans when applied near kitchen utensils?

An exterminator placed this dust underneath our sink and in our lazy Susan in large amounts. We removed our pots and pans so that this area could be serviced, but now we're unsure if we should put them back and how we should clean this product up if we do decide to place them back.

Answer:

Avert Dry Flowable Cockroach Bait should only be applied to cracks and crevices, under and behind cabinets, refridgerators and sinks, around window and door frames and other hiding/runway areas where activity is seen. Any visible powder after the application should be brushed into cracks/crevices or removed.  Per the product label, DO NOT contaminate feed or food products or food prep surfaces, dishes, kitchen utensils and food containers. Any contaminated or mistreated areas should be cleaned with warm soapy water and allowed to dry before replacing any items back onto surfaces, cabinets, or drawers.  Please contact the manufacturer BASF at 1(800) 526-1072 for more information if needed.
