Will Barricade 4FL Pre-Emergent Herbicide (Prodiamine) prevent sandspurs?

Sandspurs are not listed on the label as being controlled by barricade but articles on the internet say they are. What is the truth?

Answer:

The active ingredient Prodiamine in Barricade 4FL Pre-Emergent Herbicide (Prodiamine) is not labeled for sandburs. Pre emergents containing the active ingredients Dithopyr (Dimension 2EW) or Pendamethalin (Pendulum 2G Herbicide) would be recommended for preventing sandburs from germinating.
