Will ExciteR kill Brown Recluse spiders on contact?

Answer:

Yes, ExciteR Insecticide provides a contact kill while the application is still wet on the surface. Once dry, the residual is short term and will not provide a contact kill. For treating spiders, ExciteR Insecticide is only labeled to be applied to the outside periemeter foundation up and out, around windows, doors, under the eaves of the roof.  This product is NOT labeled for indoor treatments for spider control. Kepp in mind, since Spiders have very little body surface that actually touches the ground, eradicating a spider population is done primarily through secondary poisoning as they eat insects that have crossed areas treated with a liquid insecticide or insecticide dust or as they groom themselves picking up the active ingredient.  Please view our Brown Recluse Spider Control Products and Spider Treatment Guide for more information on a successful treatment.
