Marjorie from El Paso, Tx writes

Will heavy rain or flooding reduce the efficacy of an application of Milky Spore?

I have grubs again after I did the application of Milky Spore Powder.

Answer:

If you has so much rain and flooding that the soil was physically removed from the area and needed to be replaced, then we would recommend reapplying Milky Spore Powder in those areas. Milky Spore does need to be lightly watered in to bind the application to the soil and also allowed 24 hours before any rainfall is expected atter the application. Keep in mind that complete grub control may take 3-4 years with Milky Spore. Faster control may be achieved with applications in the Spring and late Summer, when grubs are actively feeding.
