Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer is not labeled for basketgrass and unfortunately, basketgrass can be difficult to control. The only herbicide recommended is a non selective glyphosate like Roundup Quick Pro to directly spot treat the basketgrass. In lawn areas, treated areas can be resodded or reseeded after 2 weeks. Other methods of control include hand pulling or hand digging the weed and roots. For landscape beds it is suggested to apply 2-3 inch layer of organic mulch over the area and consider planting with a more desirable ground cover such as Asiatic Jasmine or Liriope which overtime can outlive basketgrass. . .
