Will Ornamec 170 kill the roots of Bermuda grass that has gone dormant?

Answer:

The best time to treat unwanted bermudagrass is during the transition period in spring when it’s coming out of dormancy and then again in the fall as it transitions back into dormancy. This is when the bermudagrass is the weakest and most sensitive. Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide is only going to be effective on bermuda when it’s acitvely growing. Keep in mind, bermudagrass is very difficult to eliminate and will require multiple applications and can take up to several seasons to fully eliminate.
