Will Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) kill sandbur?

Answer:

Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) is only a pre-emergent, used to prevent weeds from emerging. It will not kill anything that is actively growing.  Hi-Yield Weed and Grass Stopper with Dimension is a very popular pre-emergent herbicide for sandbur. Be sure to check the product label to be sure it is safe to use on your turfgrass. If you are trying to kill existing sandbur, you can browse our post-emergent herbicides for this weed here.
