Yes, a decaying body is going to smell after a mouse dies from consuming the bait from the T1 Mouse Pre-Baited Disposable Bait Station.  That is why it is best to use these outside and not inside where you cannot control where the mice die.  For rodents inside it is best to use snap traps and glueboards so you can control where they are going to die.  You should also seal up all cracks and crevices outside that are allowing them access to inside.
