Would Fendona CS Controlled Release Insecticide be effective in treating large 75 acre track of woods and tall grass for tick control? How far from a lake should I stay away when applying? Is this toxic to fish?

Answer:

Fendona CS Controlled Release Insecticide is labeled for tick control but the application does need to be kept at least 20 ft from the lake as it is toxic to aquatic animals. For foliar applications to trees, shrubs and bedding plants, the product label advises to mix 4 to 6 fluid ounces/ 100 gallons water. For turfgrass, apply at 0.5 to 1 fluid ounce/ 1,000 square feet.  Please take a few minutes to read over our Tick Control Guide to learn how to make an effective application for tick control.
