Yes, XL 2G granules can be applied around daffodil beds as directed 2-4 weeks before planting and final hilling but prior to emergence of annual weeds. Fall planted bulbs , apply again in late winter or early spring to weed free soil surfaces.
XL 2G Granules does not contain any attractants for birds and should be watered in well after application so they get down into the soil to create the barrier and birds would not really have access to them. We recommend contacting the manufacturer of XL 2G Granules to see if the product will be harmful to birds if they consume it.
